Meet our missionaries who are sharing the good news of Jesus in costa rica, guatemala, portugal, and romania. our missionaries are so excited to spend this week with us!

November 6-10, 2024

Every year, we bless our new missionary families with overwhelming love by giving gifts from wishes and needs that they have. Most of the needs on the lists they provide are for their ministries, and we also ask them to send us wishes (items they've been dreaming about).

We, as a church, love to love in this way. We hope you will join in this huge blessings. We will present these gifts to our missionary famlies on the evening of our finale celebration, November 10th.

tony & kelly collicco

romania

BIO:

Tony and Kelly with their family have been missionaries to Romania called and sent out of Orlando Baptist Church for the last 29 years: since 1995. They’ve had the privilege of working in the country of Romania with the Romanian gypsies, planting churches, setting up schools, reaching 500 children every summer with Camp Joy, as well as being able to give out 500 or more Christmas food bags, and Christmas gifts. They’ve been able to plant over 20 churches.

Most of them are autonomous. They are presently working with five churches within a 15 mile radius of their home in Northwest Romania, and continue planting new churches. They had the privilege of raising their kids in Romania. Of course they’re all grown now and on their own, but all still a vital part of their ministry helping out every summer with Camp Joy.

nicko & denise guyer

guatemala

BIO:

Nick and Denise have four kids, Ezra, Emma, Elliot, and Ethan and are originally from Raleigh, North Carolina where Mid-Way Baptist Church is their sending church. Nicko and Denise met while they were students at North Carolina State University where Nicko got a degree in Computer Science and Denise got a degree in Textiles.

Nicko and Denise were both saved at a young age, but in 2023 God called their family to go to the mission field. The Guyers said “yes” to God’s calling and radically changed the direction of their life in response. Nicko has resigned from his 12 year career as a Software Engineer and they are "all-in" on ministry, and going to the mission field. They have been approved as Church Planting Missionaries to Guatemala through the World Initiative Network. God has clearly called them to Guatemala and they plan to remain there long term, until God just as clearly calls them somewhere else. The Guyers are currently raising support to go to the mission field and hope to move to Guatemala in early 2025.

jared & haley paiz

costa rica

BIO:

Jared and Haley are sent out of Temple Baptist Church in Springdale, Arizona. Their pastor is Keith Buttram. It is their families desire to move to Costa Rica learn the language, the culture and plant indigenous churches throughout the Country of Costa Rica. Even though Costa Rica is labeled a Christian nation only 13% of the population is classified as evangelical Christian. A vast majority of the nation holds to a works-based faith and lives life never truly knowing where they will spend eternity. They live each day seeking to earn their righteousness through works without an understanding of the true gospel of Jesus Christ. (”For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2 : 8-10.)

Their family has been on full time deputation since August of 2023 and through God's grace we have been blessed while on this journey it has truly been amazing to have churches come alongside their family financially and prayerfully. While on deputation they have found that one of their greatest joys has been time to come alongside churches and to encourage them in missions..
